Abstract[edit]

This article explains two methods to determine a Logical Unit or disk Fibre Channel WWID on a HP-UX 11i v3 Operating Environment using the scsimgr command.

Using scsimgr command get_attr option[edit]

# scsimgr -p get_attr -D /dev/rdisk/disk6 -a wwid
0x50014c300130bd78

Using scsimgr command get_info option[edit]

# scsimgr get_info -D /dev/rdisk/disk6 | grep WWID
World Wide Identifier (WWID)                  = 0x50014c300130bd78
