How to use the GSP/MP for power cycle the system

Connecting to the GSP|MP|iLO

1. Connect to the GSP | MP | iLO of your server directly from the console or using telnet | ssh to the Administration card.

 *************************************************************************
  This is a private system.
  Do not attempt to login unless you are an authorized user.
  Any authorized or unauthorized access or use may be monitored and can
  result in criminal or civil prosecution under applicable law.
 *************************************************************************

 *************************************************************************
  Only default users are configured.
  Use one of the following user/password pairs to login:

  Admin/Admin
  Oper/Oper

MP password: *****

Command Menu

2. Type CM to change to the Command Menu.

               Use the SO command to generate a new certificate.

        VFP: Virtual Front Panel
         CM: Command Menu
         CL: Console Log
         SL: Show Event Logs
         HE: Main Help Menu
          X: Exit Connection

        (Use Ctrl-B to return to MP main menu.)

Power up or down command

3. Use the PC -on or PC -off to power up or power down the server.

[deltamp] MP:CM> PC -on


PC -on


System will be powered on.
   Confirm? (Y/[N]): Y
Y

   -> System is being powered on.

-> Command successful.

Return to System Console

4. When the system is power down, preset Ctrl-B to return to the Command Menu. Type CO to return to the system console. When your recieve the message To discontinue, press any key within 10 seconds., press any key to interrupt the boot process.
