May 5, 2018 - Wiki-UX.org migrates to Wikimedia engine version 1.3

Wiki-UX.org announces it has completed the migration of the Wikimedia.org engine to version 1.30. This marks an important step on the long term support of this community project.

According to Alejandro Marin Badilla, them main editor of the site, this was a major change that required multiple updates, including the GuMaxVN 2.1 skin that was last updated by the author on January 17, 2011 to support older engine version 1.16.1. The new homebrew skin, MaGuMaxVN 1.0 will eventually be released to the public. Thanks again Paul Gu for your previous work in this skin.

Simultaneously with the engine change the web hosting was upgraded from PHP 5.2 to newer version 7.1 with the purpose of taking advantage of the transition downtime.
