Keep in mind:

  1. The default disk layout for a new file system is the latest available on their respective release.
  2. On Integrity servers, the default layout for /stand and / (root) file systems is 6, due to the fact the current systems firmware don't support booting from higher layouts.
  3. File systems larger than 2 TB under VxFS 3.5 are supported only using VxVM 3.5. OnLineJFS license is required for file systems larger than 2 TB.
  4. HP-UX 11i V2 (B.11.23) September 2004 or newer release is required to create file systems larger than 16 TB.
